Prince William Brings Message Of Hope For Israel

In Tel Aviv, Prince william brings a message of hope on his first royal visit to the holy land. William who is second in line to the throne, laid a wreath at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial's Hall of Remembrance. He began his tour by visting Israel's Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial centre in Jerusalem where he also met descendants of Jews hidden from the Nazis by his great-grandmother, Princess Alice. Princess Alice is the mother of Britain's 97-year-old Prince Philip. He recalled it being a profoundly moving experience. After his brief opening in Hebrew, the prince said that Israel's remarkable story is one that remembers its terrible past and also looking forward to the future. Earlier in Jerusalem, Prince William met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, William told them that it was up to him to keep the memory of the holocaust alive now as the older generations were fading away and he commits himself to doing this.
