CAUTION! NSFW: Brief video text and the initial song contain foul language. We're just hardcore like that, but would feel awful if you got in trouble for it.

Adhoc and Algae at it again, except this time we're named Adhok and Pachyderm. I bet you can't guess who is who! We've successfully made the transition to our old Planetside faction, the Terran Republic. Needless to say the PS2 Prowler in no way resembles its older, stockier relative. In PS it was a three seated tank, the largest of all tanks, and THE close range brawler. In PS2 it's a two seater, the smallest of all tanks, and stuck in close range with no clear advantage for it over the other tanks. This isn't to say the tank can't do well, but it really isn't on an equal ground with its MBT brethren.

We made this video mainly because we like AV+AV tanking. Hunting other vehicles is something we enjoy, and running into other dedicated teams is incredibly exciting and insightful. The other reason is that the Marauder, and Prowler in general, aren't exactly the best at it. We want to give people some vicarious experience with the guns, and some information. We try to keep it general because it's beta. Everything is subject to change. Plus, and most importantly, we're very lazy.

We used AV+AV setups in both tanks shown. So the AP Prowler cannon with the Marauder secondary, and the FPC Magrider cannon with the Saron HRB secondary. These are the premier hunter-destroyer tank setups that each faction can field. Keep in mind, a lot of the opponents we run into are 1/2 (only one person) MBTs. This means there are a lot of quick kills that may make us look OP. Dedicated tank duos are far and few between, but a properly manned MBT is much more powerful than its solo counterpart--even with default guns.

GENERAL INFORMATION & ACRONYMS:

Secondary Anti-Vehicle (AV) weapons for MBTs (Main Battle Tanks) are the Marauder, the Saron HRB, and the Enforcer. They belong to the Terran Republic, the Vanu Sovereignty, and the New Conglomerate, respectively.

The Saron HRB (VS) is a dumbfire weapon with very fast projectile speed and shot delay. Its lack of any bullet drop or deviation* is adjusted by being stuck on the vehicle's momentum. If you don't know where you're going, you can't properly lead other targets. In a sense, you need to lead the weapon twice. Once you understand these principles it's a very potent weapon, and it can even appear to shoot "around corners" because of it. Shot delay is tough to show in films, since you can't know when I press the trigger, just when the shot comes out. The weapon can generally strike up to 600+m, but with proper leading can hit the target as long as you can see it.

The Enforcer (the AV weapon, NOT the AI shotgun with a very similar name) is both vehicle seeking AND dumbfire. Hold zoom to lock targets and fire seeking missiles at incredibly long distances (longest I've READ is practically draw distance, same as HRB). Just aim and click to fire perfectly straight* shots. The missiles have a slower travel speed than the Saron HRB.

Magazine size is how many shots you can fire before you must reload. Ammo capacity is how much ammo you keep in reserve to reload with. The Marauder is the only Secondary AV that can increase its Magazine Size, the other two are single shot only. All the secondary AV's can increase their ammo capacity and reload rate.

*All weapons after the wipe are suffering from a CoF that's been reported as a bug. So the shots you see from, say, the pre-wipe HRB in the video aren't currently possible until the fix (reportedly next patch).

Special Mention:

A big thanks to both Tarrick and ShadeofCircle from the beta forums. You guys have really helped us in strategy, approach, and general knowledge regarding the prowler. Hope you don't mind our crankiness in adjusting to and trying to understand the Prowler!
