Girma works at Save the Children in Ethiopia. He's seen how hard it can be for a girl to attend school when she has her period, especially since at most schools, boys and girls must share the same bathroom. Save the Children's Protecting Futures program helps solve this problem. We're building separate bathrooms for boys and girls, and helping teenage girls erase the fear that comes with getting their first periods. We're educating girls and giving them the confidence they need to stay in school and shine in their communities. We're helping girls live happier, healthier lives. You can help too!
