The legal regulatory landscape is about to change as result of the Legal Practice Act or LPA which recently came in to effect. The intention is for the new Act to provide a framework that will transform and restructure the legal profession so that it represents the country's demographics for the broader public interest. An important aspect of the Act is to ensure that everyone in the country has access to legal services.
