Now that I've mastered the Atlas and Stalker I'm easing back into an oldie from closed beta. I plan on tackling the variants I disliked the most in closed beta: the 8V and 8T. Now that I'm not totally afraid of building assaults, and have upgrades to free up the process, they should prove promising. But first, I took a trip down memory lane by hopping into my old 8R setup from closed beta. Except this time there are upgrades! The Mplas have become LLas, and I can hold more ammo, more heatsinks, have a better engine, and even upgrade to Artemis. My initial build on the new 8R was 2x ALrm15, 2x ASRM6, TAG, 2x Mlas. It looked nice on paper, but the overlapping range and positioning games were not only a burden, but totally useless without a team to support. The classic, if not unorthodox, 4x SRM6 8R plays like a massive centurion--it even has a shield arm!
