New Zealand Trucking Magazine Editor John Murphy crossed the ditch to test drive a few Kenworth trucks at Queensland's Mt Cotton driver training centre. All the trucks were powered by the latest PACCAR MX-13 engine. In this video he is behind the wheel of the T403 with a PACCAR MX-13 rated at 460 horsepower and the impressive flat torque band from 1000 RPM to 1500 RPM. Transmission in this rig is Eaton's 18-speed Ultrashift. After his stint behind the wheel he reckoned he'd take one north to Darwin with a triple road train and experience life as a real outback trucker first hand.
