INGREDIENTS

6 lemons, halved lengthwise
1 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
4 black tea bags
3/4 c. vodka
1 3-oz. package lemon Jell-o

DIRECTIONS

1. In a liquid measuring cup, juice lemons until you get 1/4 cup liquid. Hollow out those and the remaining lemons, then place on a rimmed baking sheet and set aside.

2. In a small saucepan over high heat, combine water and sugar. Bring water to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved, then add black tea bags. Turn off heat and steep until dark, 3 to 4 minutes.

3. Return liquid to a simmer, then whisk in lemon juice, vodka and Jell-o mix. Let cool slightly, then carefully pour liquid into lemon halves.

4. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Slice the lemons in half again and serve.
