EACC detectives raid Wajir governor's homes over theft of Ksh. 350m

Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission have arrested some senior officials of the Wajir county government. EACC detectives also raided the home and office of governor Mohamed Abdi Mahamud. Sources told NTV that some of those arrested are Sonia Mworia, wife of the head of the county treasury Jeff Mworia Githinji. It is reported that the county official's spouse attempted to destroy documents ahead of the raid. Siyad Ibrahim Ahmed, branch manager of KCB bank, Wajir branch was arrested in connection with the investigation.The detectives also seized documents and material to aid in their investigations into claims of the embezzlement of 350 million of shillings at the Wajir County Government
