The Democratic Party has secured a court injunction stopping the swearing in and gazetting of the Geoffrey Wandera as the Busia District Chairperson. 

The DP run to court after their candidate Deogratius Hasubi Njoki’s nomination was cancelled by the electoral commission due to inconsistencies in his names on various documents.

Following a hearing, the deputy registrar of the high court Lillian Mwandha issued the injunction.
