If you guys got to check out my Richmond fishing expo vlog, you may remember my young friend Owen. I told him I'd make a trip down to fish Chickahominy lake with him, his Dad and Brother and this Sunday was the day. While conditions were a near perfect, 70 degree day, water in the low 50's, and decent water clarity, the fishing was tough for us. We tried a huge range of spots and baits with very little luck. Owen's Dad Joe did manage 2 fish on jerkbaits, one that was around a pound and another that was 4! 
I hope you guys can take something from this and see a bit of my thought process when trying to fish a new lake, and different baits I'm using this time of year. 

I tried my best to find some fish with absolutely no luck. Hope you all can bare with me here through this one, I still thought it would turn out to be decent content and I really wanted to post this video.

Thanks again for the invite Owen, Joe and Will. I'll be back down there soon! Had a blast fishing with Owen, he's a true natural and I can't wait to fish with him on a day the fish would like to cooperate!
