When you are a young musician with bags of potential and talent but needing more experience and confidence how can you compete?

Well as I always say we are in the best time for musicians that has ever been and utilising todays technology can really speed up the process for learning and gaining experience. Instagram Live is an AMAZING way of developing your skills and confidence levels as you gain experience performing in front of a crowd (even if it's a social media crowd). This is still live and still real and that feeling you get from not being able to make mistakes or start again give you valuable training as a live performer!

You can perform mini gigs daily and can develop faster than any musician from decades past. While you might not have their live gigging/touring experience, this is a great way to start catching them up and developing as a musician with nerves of steal!

Many musicians are worried about performing live on social media due to being perfectionists and if that is the case then pick a time when few people (if any) will watch... 3am for 5 mins! You will still get that buzz but without the panic of a bigger audience.

Give Live Instagram a go and start experimenting with putting on gigs from your bedroom, or your car, or the hotel room or even up a tree! Be creative and your audience will appreciate you!
