Part 3 POINT FIVE, out of six.


When we last left off, the MUGEN World Tournament was progressing well, as the fifth round was right around the corner. With most of the teams in the divisions taken out, only the strong teams remained, a somewhat weary CYS Team being one of the few remaining in their division.

Round five was set to take place in Japan.
Ever since the incident in Italy with the Women Team, Chris had been acting strangely, showing severe signs of aloofness, and talking even less than he did before. Before Yashiro could figure out his problem however, their next match in the tournament quickly approached them. Ryu, Terry, and Goku - the Ryu Team - wasted no time in challenging Yashiro's group to see who would advance to the next round. The Ryu Team showed why they were still in the division, as they were far and away the toughest team Yashiro and company had faced so far in the tournament, but in the end, the three members of the CYS Team barely managed to pull out a win against their respective opponents.

Round six, the match before the quarterfinals at the Winner's Circle, was in America.
It was there that Yashiro finally found the person he entered the tournament for: His "rival", Iori Yagami. Although, Iori himself had no idea what Yashiro was talking about...
His two silent teammates had a strange vibe about them that seemed to put Chris at unease. Shermie tried to help him brush it off, but Chris just couldn't shake the strange feeling he was getting from those two...

After the battles, the CYS Team came out victorous. But it didn't end there.

As Iori lay defeated, down but not out, part two of his and Yashiro's match was about to begin, when Iori suddenly started acting erratically. It was then that the two women on his team finally spoke, one of them mentioning "their Lord Orochi", and calling Yashiro "Heavenly King Yashiro". Before Yashiro could get any answers, Iori let out a blood-curdling scream, and completely ripped the two females apart, killing them instantly.
Completely dumbfounded by this sudden turn of events, The CYS Team tries to leave, but Yashiro is stopped in his tracks. He began to glow a purple glow, just like Iori did, and began surging with power. A frightened Shermie and Chris look on as Yashiro unleashed this power on the enraged Iori, critically wounding him. He then set his sights on his own friends...

What happened to the Shermie and Chris? Why did Iori and Yashiro go berserk? What was the meaning of "Heavenly King"? Of "Orochi"?


I gotta say, this little story turned out to be much bigger than I originally thought! Just like with the prolouge at the beginning of the legend, I'm finding myself in another jam, where I have to cut the video into two pieces to get all the info in.
Some people might say that the mark of a good storywriter is in their ability to explain everything in the time they're given, no matter how small. Well I say screw that; 11 minutes just ain't enough for this one. ;/

Anyway, I dub this part, "The Info Chapter". As the name implies, there is no fighting in this video. This is merely an explanation on what happened after part 3 ended, and what's soon to come. Keep an eye out tomorrow for part 4.
