Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams shine in a life-affirming father-daughter bonding drama. Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) is the last of a dying breed. A legendary, old-school baseball scout, he discovered many of the sport's biggest names. But age is catching up with him, his eyesight isn't what it used to be, and he fears he's about to be put out to pasture by the Atlanta Braves. The only person who can help is his daughter Mickey (Amy Adams) - a high-flying lawyer who remains resentful about the way he raised her after the death of her mother. Against his objections and her better judgement, she joins him on a scouting trip to Northern Carolina. Along the way, each makes discoveries about the other which has profound implications for their future relationship. Justin Timberlake co-stars as a rival scout with an eye for Mickey in Clint Eastwood's first starring role for another director since 'In the Line of Fire'.
