Me & My Piano (Vol. 2) is a collection of all Aaron's mature songs, those mainly written for solo piano and voice. 2007-2011 This is song 16 from the album. I wrote this for a friend. It tries to express the mixture of weariness and optimism that life's road brings seemingly in equal measure. Aaron's main influences are Classical and Romantic composers such as Chopin and Bach, plus the modern influences of Elton John, Chris De Burgh, Supertramp, ABBA abd Alan Parsons. The result is a modern synthesis torn somewhere between country, folk and gospel music with a tight classical structure, and deep counterpoint.
