The antihero Galen Marek aka Starkiller, one time apprentice to Darth Vader, becomes something in between Jedi and Sith. It falls to him to save or doom the Rebel Alliance leaders. His pilot and love interest, Juno Eclipse, asks if she'll see him again, he believes that his death is near, and so she kisses him. He kisses her back then free falls into the incomplete Death Star to again face Vader and the Emperor per the light side ending which was is seen here. It is his stand between the Rebels and the Emperor that he'll be remembered for, his sacrifice as a symbol of hope, and in doing so he becomes the unknown soldier except to those who knew him best. It is also the inner light that is Juno that he holds onto even at the end. This is spoken to her through Rahm Kota who had felt this in his thoughts both at the bar and as they made their escape from the Death Star without him.
