Took Tanner hog hunting for a weekend. He took a couple of rifle shots Friday night and was so overcome with buck fever that he missed. I noticed that the hogs we saw the day before were walking right past this older feeder that didn't drop corn anymore, and that had a tripod stand next to it. I happened to bring the crossbow out for practice that weekend, and I had one bolt with a hunting broad head on it, so I thought I'd give Tanner a chance with it. This video is cut short, but it's total length is about 7 minutes of him sitting and watching these hogs come in and feed on the corn that I had spread to hold them there at the feeder. He did great, was patient, and hit a perfect shot on a great sow. He used my Stryker 350 Crossbow for the kill. Hog didn't make it 80 yards before it fell over dead. This is his first hog ever, and I don't think he realizes how rare a thing it is to take one with a crossbow, much less as your first kill! Really proud of him!
