CINCINNATI (WKRC) - More than 11,000 people will have a good Christmas meal on their holiday dinner table, thanks to the Freestore Foodbank. The two-day distribution at the center on Liberty Street served just over 3,900 families as 724 volunteers helped hand out the boxes that contained canned vegetables, canned fruit, stuffing, beans, gravy mix, and macaroni and cheese. Each household also received a turkey, several bags of produce, milk, and bread. The Freestore Foodbank also supplied three pantries in its service area with food for their holiday distribution.
