Celebrity Edge Has Technical Stop In Azores on Trans Atlantic Maiden Cruise The Celebrity Edge stopped in the Azores for what was called a "Technical Stop" while on her way to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The ship is not carring any paying passengers onboard this trip but does seem to have a number of contractors doing finishing work. There was a crane spotted along side of the Edge yesterday but there was no news released if any work being done was of a major variety. The cruise liner is expected to arrive in Florida on Nov 19 2018 and will start 2 consecutive 3 day promotional cruises on Dec 1st until Dec 9th when full 7 day cruises begin with regular paying passengers. The ship is unique in many ways, and has what is being called, a "magic carpet" on the side of the ship that makes her stand out from all other cruise ships. #celebrityedge #royalcaribbean #magiccarpet
