A5045779 Rachel is a gorgeous, amber-eyed 4-year-old red-and-white spayed female Siberian Husky whose former adopter returned her to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on April 5th for cost reasons. Weighing 62 lbs, Rachel has a medium energy, knows how to sit on command, and has a friendly attitude toward other dogs and people. Her leash skills and meet-and-greet manners are not perfect (she pulls on leash, and she sort of overwhelms dogs she wants to be BFFs with), but given her Husky smarts and working-dog traits, we think some training will turn her into a good canine citizen, able to walk and socialize with the best of them! Rachel will thrive as an indoor pet and companion in any household where she is included in activities and exercise, gets her share of attention, and has an outlet for her working-dog nature. And did we say that Rachel’s a talker? Like many of her breed, she’s a talkative girl, as well as a beautiful one. United Hope for Animals is not a facility. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
