Leptospirosis is a zoonosis. Wearing gloves and being careful is important in treatment this dog in quarantine. The dog still has no appetite. Nasogastric tube feeding. When the food cannot be pumped in, I advised sucking out some food and repeat. Food can enter after this procedure. Blood test shows liver and kidney disorder as a result of leptosporsis. This led the first vet to test for canine leptospirosis. The dog was not vaccinated and could have been exposed to rat's urine as he went to the wet market daily. Wet markets in Singapore do have rats although there is are pest control measures. Idexx SNAP Lepto test is positive. Lethargy, anorexia, soft stools and vomiting were the clinical signs seen at the onset.
