loudlabs.com ANAHEIM - At 3:28 PM Anaheim Police Department received a report of a Residential Burglary that occurred in the 500 Block of South Melrose. About an hour later, the PD received a call from the victim stating that their car ( a Mercedes) was stolen and was tracking it via GPS. A short time later, the, a Anaheim Police helicopter was able to locate the car in Fullerton. After dispatching units to the cars location, the car began heading back into Anaheim and a short pursuit began. The suspect drove at high speeds running through red lights and then drove to a shopping center. The suspect then crashed (A SOLO VEHICLE COLLISION, CRASH OCCURRED AT 4:45 PM), flipped to its side, and caught fire. The suspect refused to exit the vehicle and police officers had to use less lethal rounds (Bean Bags). Police officers were able to arrest the male suspect and had him transported to the hospital for examination.
