Written by City News Service - A man who was fatally shot in a South Los Angeles pizzeria was identified today. The shooting happened around 10:10 p.m. Thursday at Tumby's Pizza at 8326 S. Western Ave., according to Sgt. S. Lizarraga of the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Station. Farrell Smith, 46, died at a hospital, coroner's Chief Craig Harvey said. Witnesses said two males wearing hoodies walked up to the victim, and one of them opened fire, striking him four times, Lizarraga said. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction, he said.
