I mounted this small vawt on a 6 foot pole in my backyard to see how well it performs. I changed the wings to 20" tall and 6" wide. The diameter of the vawt is 20" wide. Open voltage with a handspin is 27 or more. With a load of 6 leds in series and a good wind, I can get 15 to 16 volts. My guess is I'm getting 4 to 6 watts. The vawt will come to 12 volt at about 60 rpm and starts producing usable electricity at 80 or more rpm.
