Fires Everywhere But Life Goes On

The first part of July has been challenging for our area. Starting on July 3 we have had 3 fires in our immediate area. Just as the fire crews would start to get one fire slowed down, another would start. The first two were human caused, and the third (very close to us) was caused by dry lightning. We were under evacuation orders for several days. Our home was never immediately threatened, but winds can change and spread a fire here very quickly. Also, we have one road in and out of our valley, so if a fire changed direction, it could cut us off, and limit fire crews. As of today we were finally told that the crews are finishing the mop up of the closest fire, but to be on the lookout for any activity.
