ANAHEIM - The CHP and Anaheim Fire responded early Saturday to reports that a woman was giving birth in her car on the 91 freeway near the Kraemer Blvd exit. The 911 called came into the CHP/Anaheim Fire shortlly before 4:45 AM. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the woman was traveling from her home in Westminster to the Kaiser Medical Center on La Palma Road in Anaheim. It appears that the woman MAY have been driving herself to the hospital when the labor became to intense and she pulled over. Anaheim Fire responded to the scene which was within sight of the Kaiser Hospital. It is unknown if fire personnel delivered the child or that the child was already born when they arrived. Other unconfirmed reports indicate that the mother may have given birth to twins. The father was NOT with the mother at the time of the delivery. The father arrived at the hospital after mother and child(ren) arrived.
