Suspects Runs after Crashing in LAPD Pursuit / SOUTH EL MONTE

www,loudlabs.com SOUTH EL MONTE - LAPD Central Division officers initiated a pursuit of a light colored sedan with two occupants inside. It is not clear exactly where the pursuit started and what the want was. The pursuit ended up taking the Eastbound 60 Freeway out of LA and the suspects continued eastbound before crashing their vehicle on the Santa Anita Ave off ramp. The driver of the vehicle ran on foot across the Santa Anita Ave bridge over the 60 and was being tracked by the helicopter until ground units arrived to arrest him. The male hispanic suspect was running towards vehicles attempting to flag them down and possibly entered a red vehicle that was parked in a hotel parking lot adjacent to the freeway before being taken into custody. The passenger of the vehicle managed to evade officers. East LA CHP officers also were on scene assisting LAPD.
