Previously unreleased video from : 8/27/14 the Sea lions are in severe distress in the East Mooring Basin Astoria Oregon after being trapped by ODFW' and PSMFS employees. It is a very scary and a traumatic event for these animals. SLDB observers have witnessed many animals linger in pain and in shock on the dock after being trapped and branded with hot irons. Human's poaching ESA fish is a crime, and sea lion sustenance is not. The Columbia River Dogs need more protection from NOAA not less. We all want our children to learn to share and to be nice to animals. Another good reason to contact: Donna Wieting Director of Protected Resources NOAA Ask her to please pull the permit for the "lethal take" of sea lions on the Columbia River for eating fish.
