Test firing with my old coilgun at 430V using a soundcard oscilloscope, you will notice extreme clipping of the waveform, the inputs of the soundcard were simply exceeded. I will have to obtain some attenuators to reduce the signal voltage, but otherwise its a proof of concept (which also unfortunately shows how much darn ringing I never knew my coilgun had to deal with).
