The World Health Organization estimates that $260 billion are lost each year in economic activity globally due to a lack of safe water and sanitation. And it says that every one dollar invested in water provides a four dollar economic return. And yet millions of people still don't have access to fresh sources. The UN is marking World Water Day to highlight the importance of this most basic -- yet most important -- of resources.
