Death Journey
Two vessels and a boat carrying illegal migrants capsized within one week in the Mediterranean causing the death of 1000 people including children and women. They were trying to escape the suffering and death in their own countries. These awful incidents has once again put the illegal immigration in question under the spotlight. It’s thought that about 1,600 migrants have died since the beginning of this year trying to cross the Mediterranean from Africa. More than 2300 people died last year trying to cross the dangerous way to Europe. A record 170,000 people made the perilous crossing to Italy last year.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION REASONS
Why this huge number of people are exposing their life to inevitable death? Actually, it is poverty, violence, hardships in Africa and the Middle East that forced thousands to choose the death journey to Europe. If war and the bad economical condition in the middle east and Africa do not change, illegal immigration will never ever stop. After reaching Europe, those poor migrants have to face a new journey of suffering to take the asylum. Moreover, Migrants who fail to meet the strict requirements of asylum, have to departe. Of course, in this case all money given to the smugglers will go in vain. Smugglers are the means through which migrants arrive to Europe. They usually take first class ticket money for crummy, disreputable and miserable journey.

HUMAN CATASTROPHE SOLUTIONS
Despite doubts, the EU is trying to find an effective approach as soon as possible to put an end to this issue which is expected to get worse over the coming days. They claimed that they will strengthen the secure programme and destroy the boats of people traffickers. The UN and other Human Rights organizations called dithering EU to save innocent lives, particularly children before more lose their lives. Since too many decisions have been taken but not implemented thoroughly, time will show if the latest announcement will lead to a solution.
