ODFW commissioners fish allocation meeting 2012 for 2013 This guy has the nerve to wine that he can not kill Sturgeon by the boat load. He has the audacity to mention the sea lions that have to eat fish to survive. This guy asks people to come from all over the world to extract fish from the Columbia River, and he wants to deny the local indigenous sea lions from eating fish. This is shameful. For me this video shows that according to this fishermen there are plenty of sturgeon to go around for the killing, and he does not want a reduction in this killing. He points the finger at the sea lions like an ignoramus. Human predation on the Columbia River is out of control. This video shows that humans can be very greedy bastards when it comes to killing Sturgeon, and the sea lions. Sea lions do not profit off the fish they eat -- humans profit from killing ESA listed fish. Greed and politics must not be able to deny any species the ability to eat or we are all in trouble eventually. Sea lions kill for sustenance. Fishermen kill for sport, and no sport lobby should be able to deny marine mammals the right for safe protection and fish for life.
