Jet Ski chasing sea lion intoTANNER CREEK

SLDB observers document a sea lion swimming near Tanner Creek as seen in this video, and fishermen on the far river bank that previously were using wrist rockets to shoot stones at the sea lion. Under Federal Law the fishermen have permission to protect their gear if they actively have a fish on the line which is the only time they may haze these animals. The fishermen 's gear in this video were never under threat from this sea lion and the animal stayed far away while a few of the humans went out of their way to continue to attempt to pelt the animal with rocks. As for catching fish neither sea lion nor humans had any luck on that day because the spring run is running late this year. In addition the sea lion made an appearance and out of the blue a jet ski with no registration numbers on the vessel enters a NO boat zone and proceeds to do circles in the vicinity of where the animal is last observed . Moreover these humans proceed to drive up into tanner creek and they can be observed looking for something as well and once they too notice that they are on camera they quickly depart, SLDB observers report.
