Construction Truck Hit on 118 Freeway Closure / Mission Hills RAW FOOTAGE

12-22-17 MISSION HILLS - At approximately 2338, CHP and LAFD responded to reports of a traffic collision on the 118 Freeway. Arriving units found a two vehicle TC, in which a silver Nissan SUV had struck a Security Paving Construction truck in the freeway closure of the 118/5 Freeway interchange. The driver of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. No construction workers were injured in this collision. The driver did not hit the construction truck which has a special attachment to protect workers in the event of a collision. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time. CHP is handling the investigation.
