Written by City News Service - A female who suffered a leg wound in a shooting in
the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area was released from a hospital today.
 The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in an alley near the
corner of Firestone Boulevard and Hooper Avenue, said Los Angeles County
sheriff's Sgt. Chris Maurizi.
 The victim, who was standing in or near the alley when she was struck,
was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released, he said.
 It was too early in the investigation to say if the shooting was gang-
