Unrelenting climb in the wooded Pyrenees. Plateau de Beille is a wooded climb to the equally named ski station set in the heart of the French Pyrenees, close to Andorra and the Spanish border. The climb is unrelenting; there is almost no rest to be found. From the start in Les Cabannes, the first half features some fairly steep slopes. In recent years this hard hors categorie climb has been frequently used in the Tour de France.
