South African economists weigh in on benefits of Belt and Road Initiative

The Belt and Road Initiative is an opportunity to strengthen relations between China and the African continent and to ensure that are greater contact between the people from both sides. 

This emerged at the Belt and Road Initiative conference held in Johannesburg on Friday. 

Think tanks from China and South Africa shared their views on Chinese perspectives on the BRI and South Africa's potential participation in it.
