Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has called for peaceful coexistence along the border of Nandi and Kisumu Counties following recent flare ups among the communities. Speaking at a peace meeting in Nakuru county that involved elders from the conflicting communities and security organs from the two counties, Matiangi along with the county Governors insisted that poverty is the real cause of the conflict as well as the past boundary disputes. The leaders called for the setting up of an inter-border economic zone that would create opportunities for both communities
