loudlabs.com KOREATOWN - A woman is dead after she was struck by a car in Koreatown Saturday morning. The accident happened just after 6:00 AM near the corner of Harvard Boulevard and 6th Street. Police describe the victim as an elderly woman who was transported to the hospital where she died. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating, according to police. DUI is not suspected. Police do not have any witnesses and are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to contact them immediately. Several people we spoke to say they do not feel safe crossing around there, citing drivers often speeding through the intersection. The cause of the crash remains unknown. 6th Street between Ardmore and Hobart remain closed. Hobart Boulevard is also shut down at 6th Street.
