Turning a single pot in one direction on the Rosemary Ainslie circuit, the load waveform amplitude climbs while the current across the shunt falls from 2.1 mV to 1.9 mV. The behaviour is compared on camera to the negative-resistance regions found in transistors such as the MJL21194 and the 2N2222. The sweep is repeated in both directions so the non-linear pocket can be seen entered and left.
