At 11,201 feet this is the highest non cog railway in the United States and one of the highest railways in the World. The train starts in Leadville, Colorado and ends not too far from the operational Climax mine. The locomotive is a 1950's era GP9. As you can see in the video, September is the best month to ride this train. Filmed in 2018.
