The AQ7270 OTDR is used for installing and maintanence of fiber optic networks in FTTH (Fiber to the Home) or metro networks.  It can detect problems within a 0.8 m distance and has a dynamic range of up to 40 dB.  The new design is especially fast at booting up which allows the user to shut it down and move to a new location and start up without wasting time and thus saving batteries.
