We have experienced temperatures in the high 70's and an overnight snow fall of 4 inches all in the last 10 days.  These changes can be a challenge for wolf care staff to meet the needs of the wolves.  If it's too hot, they need cool soil and a full pond to immerse themselves.  If it's too damp and rainy, the need the straw beds.  (needs is a relative term, they have a good winter coat, but our BMP's (Best management practices)  suggest we do what we can to make them comfortable.
