Man killed in Dearborn County crash

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - One person is dead after a crash in Dearborn County Wednesday.

A tractor-trailer and a car collided on SR 1 south of Dover near Zimmer Road around 1:30 p.m., killing 84-year-old George Reusch of Guilford, Indiana.

Indiana State Police said Reusch was traveling south on SR 1 when, for an unknown reason, his car crossed the center line into the path of the truck.

Reusch was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. ISP said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. 

SR 1 was closed for about four hours while crews cleaned up. 

The crash remains under investigation.
