SANTA MONICA CA - Born and raised in Orange County, Kurt Osburn has been training for the last two years, riding 50 miles a day.

Osburn has been inspired to support children with physical difficulties, after his brother became a double-amputee and did not have the same resources. Now, his goal is to raise funds for charity groups who support children who may suffer from the same disability. Some of those groups include the Never Say Never Foundation and AMP-Ventures. Osburn's second goal is to get kids more active by encouraging exercising.

It is not the first time Osburn has made such wild attempts. Since Osburn was a kid, he has been inspired by Jack LaLanne, a fitness and nutrition expert who set several world records, often during his birthday. So in 1998, on Osburn's 29th birthday, he wheelied for 11 hours non-stop inside the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California. He broke his first Guinness World Record during a national televised event. Osburn raised funds for the American Liver Foundation to help fight Hepatitis C, a disease his childhood hero, Evel Knievel suffered. The following year, he rode from Hollywood, California to Orlando, Florida, dressed in the colors of Evel Knievel. During this event, he raised awareness and donations for military veterans battling Hepatitis C. It took him 75 days to set the world record of the longest wheelie of more than 2,800 miles. Now he plans to break that record by 29 days. To do this, he will have to ride 60 to 70 miles a day.

A custom built wind deflector trailer has been outfitted with cameras, speakers and lights. It is being used for intense wind and rain conditions.
