Close to 50 pupils who had dropped out of school and taken to gold mining have been rounded by local authorities in Tiira village in Sikuda sub-county, in Busia district. The children majority aged between 8-15 years were picked by the local council officials from the various gold mines. Alex Okello the local council chairperson for Tiira village says the operation followed increasing cases of child drop out from schools which he blames on the lucrative gold mining activities. #NTVNews Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Like our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/NTVUganda
