In the SchoolFreeware Visual C++ Win 32 Console Tutorial Series, the code is not compatible with other C++ compilers. Also, ANSI/ISO C++ is not compatible with a Visual C++ Compiled Header Win32 Console Application. This tutorial shows how to make Visual C++ accept ANSI/ISO code.

By using C++ ANSI/ISO code, the applications are more easily ported to other compilers like GNU C++ and other systems like Linux and Mac.
