A Birthday Trend I Absolutely Hate 

A birthday is supposed to be an important day in your life where you celebrate that moment either in solitude by reflecting and thinking about life or you can spend it privately by being surrounded only with the people who are important to you or you can spend it with many people since you like to feel special and important. 

I do not mind any of the above-mentioned options. 

However, the option that I absolutely hate and I cannot stand or tolerate is when people start taking the cake that you are supposed to cut and wish each other 'happy birthday' and then you end up having that cake being smashed on your face by your friends. And now people even have a process whereby the not only smash the cake on your face but they also douse you with coke or water or juice and end up putting tons of food items all over you.

I seriously find that a matter of shame as I believe food is meant to be eaten or given to someone in need. If that same cake was used for giving someone happiness - I can understand. But wasting food doing rubbish - seriously - what is wrong with you?
