For the latest news across Belize, visit: http://edition.channel5belize.com/ There is limited number of ambulances to serve patients in southern Belize, but that number grew by one today. With assistance from the Rotary Club of Edmonton, Canada and the Rotary Club of Dangriga, Southern Emergency Services sourced yet another medical van to provide emergency medical services to residents of Stann Creek. In March of this year, the Southern Regional Hospital was gifted an ambulance and this new donation is expected to improve ambulatory services. With assistance from the U.S., a cargo vessel landed just after midday at the Phillip Goldson International Airport and delivered the ambulance.
