2 killed when truck crashes into tree along I-80

A deadly crash on Interstate 80 in Placer County is being investigated Thursday as a possible kidnapping and homicide, according to the sheriff's office. The people killed in the crash were identified as 20-year-old Dayton Holden, of Newcastle, and 23-year-old Devyn Graham, of Dutch Flat, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said. Holden was the driver and Graham was the passenger in the pickup truck. The man and woman were killed just after 9 a.m. when the truck hit a tree along westbound I-80 near the Gold Run offramp, east of Secret Town, officials said.
