The New York Knicks have hired Scott Perry as GM, but can he save the Knicks and help change the culture?  While the Knicks pause trade talks with the Rockets to speak to Melo, Carmelo wants to be traded.  It was thought that the Knicks attempt to stall the trade would allow Knicks GM Scott Perry to talk to Carmelo and see if he wanted to stay. However, it is clear that Carmelo wants out.  He has set his sights on the Houston Rockets and wants to push the trade through.  

New Regime At MSG

Who is the Knicks GM? Scott Perry, the Knicks new GM will report to new Knicks president Steve Mills.  Steve Mills replaces Phil Jackson, who was fired by the Knicks after the 2017 NBA Draft.  Perry boasts an impressive resume, having served under Joe Dumars during Detroit’s title runs in 2004-2005.    He also had a hand in Sacremento’s 2017 offseason which was highly touted.  
Will Scott Perry trade Carmelo?  I believe that the Knicks will trade Carmelo by the time training camp starts.  Both parties need a fresh start and need to be able to move on from all of the drama.  Carmelo did what he could do here in New York, it was unfortunate that management could not put a good enough team around him to win. The Point Guard Woes Continue

As usual, the Knicks need a point guard.  Most of the options that they were rumored to be after are no longer available.  Guards like George Hill, Jeff Teague, Rajon Rondo and Shelvin Mack have all signed with other teams.  Eric Bledsoe is an option the Knicks are said to be interested in.  Will the Knicks trade for Eric Bledsoe?  I do not think the Knicks have the assets to trade for Bledsoe, nor do I think Bledsoe is durable enough to make a difference.
